The Western Sea is the huge body of water that borders Zalar. Long ago, Oridon
crossed it from the west to Zalar with his followers. Several attempts have been
made by Zalarians to cross it, however all have failed. The most recent
expedition led by Lord Admiral Ferrer of Illoria sailed into bad weather and was
largely destroyed. The Lord Admiral survived and was forced to turn back. The
cost of the expedition bankrupted the Illorian government.
